BIM Guidance Statement from CEDA

Building Information Modelling (BIM) Guidance Statement from the UK Foodservice BIM standards working group and BIM Academy

The three primary trade associations involved in the manufacture, design and supply of foodservice equipment, CEDA, CESA and the FCSI, in conjunction with the UK foodservice BIM standards working group and BIM Academy (a joint venture between industry and Northumbria University), have issued a joint guidance statement to help provide clarity and understanding for the foodservice industry in relation to Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Welcoming the statement’s clarification and assessment of BIM, Jack Sharkey, CEDA Chairman, comments, “This is a timely clarification of the BIM standards to be applied by all those involved in foodservice equipment and facilities design, manufacture and supply. It provides current guidance and also looks into future impact.’’
