C&C Catering Equipment Ltd is pleased to have recently completed works at the London-based offices of Anglo American & De Beers Group. The prestigious site in the heart of London’s jewellery district required facilities for around 750 employees, and C&C were delighted to be involved with the project.
Works at the Farringdon site took place over several floors, namely basement cold stores, main kitchen and servery ground floor, coffee bar, and level 6 hospitality and pantry. Brands on the scheme included C&C Catering Fabrications, Proline, Halton, Foster, Trak and Hobart, with BW Interiors as Main Contractor and Tricon as Consultant.
Very tight coordination was required with the ventilation systems in the main kitchen and with interface with base build supplies, which was achieved to provide a quality project. Another challenge included the Covid-19 restrictions in line with government guidance, which created a shortfall in labour force. This was overcome with careful planning and communication to deliver the scheme in March 2021.
C&C Catering Equipment Ltd’s Senior Project Manager Keith Hartharn commented, “We’re very happy to have completed this quality project with a successful handover, which both the client team and main contractor are very happy with. BW were a great team to work with, and the site was very well organised. We’re delighted to add this prestigious site to our London portfolio.”
Whilst working on the project, Keith was awarded Employee of the Month by BW and was also picked as one of the top 11 operatives out of 350 for his commitment to ensuring targets, quality and safety were achieved throughout the project.
