Peter and Matthew Kitchin recently enjoyed a day of racing at Donington Park with First Choice Catering Spares.

The day, which involved racing Caterham Superlight R300’s around the GP Circuit, was enjoyed in 27 degree heat at Castle Donington. It was a great experience for both Peter & Matthew, it was also a first experience of track racing for both the Kitchin’s. The C&C team spent the day with BRDC accredited driver David Emmanuel Dominic Don Pedro Rodriguez Gomez Da Costa (Yes, that’s his real name!) who showed them the ropes and made sure the day was enjoyable, fast and most of all safe.

“I thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew I would enjoy the day but I had no idea to such an extent.” Matthew commented. “The buzz once you’re out of the car was incredible, I couldn’t wait to get right back behind the wheel and throw it around the track again. Our lap times improved, our driving skill improved and the excitement escalated! Thanks to everyone at First Choice, it was an absolutely fantastic day.”

“It has to go down as one of the best corporate days ever, the whole day was absolutely brilliant. Huge thanks to John and everyone at First Choice for organising it. It won’t be the last time I go out on a track, I know that much!” said C&C’s MD Peter Kitchin. “I can see why John gets such a kick out of racing these Caterham’s around a track, the thrill as you exit a corner and power down the straight is one that’s hard to replicate other than in a racing car!”

The day was topped off with Peter Kitchin taking the Most Improved Driver award and receiving a bottle of Champagne for his efforts. This was taken home to be enjoyed instead of spraying it from the podium!

On behalf of C&C, Peter and Matthew Kitchin would like to give a massive thanks to John Whitehouse, Carl Bate and everyone at First Choice Catering Spares for organising such a fantastic day.
