C&C take Sport to iCity

C&C have completed the new staff and audience dining facilities at BT Sport’s new home in Stratford.

The new cafeteria is built in an “industrial warehouse” environment with very high ceilings and is almost a “stand alone module” in the floor space. Staff and members of the guest audience use the restaurant during recesses in filming the sports programmes.

BT chose iCity and the Queen Elizabeth Park’s international broadcast centre as its new home in 2013 and the refit took place in the second ½ of the year. With many of the new channel’s programmes hosted from the studios, the fit-out schedule was extremely tight.

C&C completed the £100k project in just 6 weeks, working with main contractor Paragon and together with Essex Fabrication and Halton.
