Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge

C&C Catering Equipment Ltd is pleased to have been a part of works at the prestigious Gonville & Caius College at University of Cambridge. As one of the largest colleges at the University, catering facilities were require to support its students, and C&C were delighted to have been involved.

Starting on site in June 2020, the project required careful planning and organisation in order to work in line with the Covid-19 restrictions. The scheme took place over several floors to include the main production kitchen and fellows dining hall with ancillary areas. Brands on the scheme were MKN, Rational, Fosters, Select, Proline, Rational, Granuldisk, Helios, and EAIS, with X as main contractor and Tricon as consultant.

Due to the listed status and central location of the building, the scheme was very complex and required co-ordination of all trades between contractors to ensure completion. Additionally, working in an occupied college with access challenges required careful planning to achieve the best experience and end result for all.
