With the new £4.5m Sixth Form Centre spanning over four floors, catering equipment was required to be carried up the stairs to the second floor, which housed the kitchen and server county. Equipment included Combi ovens, Refrigeration and Dishwash facilities, as well as a server counter and bridge canopy, and brands such as Rational, Gram, Hobart and CED.
Due to the project taking place around the time of examinations, work had to be co-ordinated to fit around these periods, with no noisy work permitted when students were being assessed. This required deliveries to be arranged according to exam timetables and installation works to be carried out as quietly as possible to avoid any disruption.
