“It’s been fantastic working at this prestigious building and being part of the refurbishment of the iconic Theatre Royal Drury Lane, affectionately known as The Lane. We’re delighted with the end result, and to be adding this to our growing portfolio of works at impressive listed buildings.”

Senior Project Manager

C&C Catering Equipment Ltd is pleased to have recently completed works at the prestigious Theatre Royal Drury Lane, affectionately known as The Lane, as part of the £60 million project to restore the historic site to its former 1812 glory. The scheme spanned over multiple areas of the impressive building, and C&C were delighted to be involved.

Working on the project from November 2019 until June 2021, C&C was involved multiple areas of the West End theatre to support its food and drink offerings to its visitors, with front of house facilities being open to the public all day so the theatre’s iconic interiors can be enjoyed by all. These were the Grand Saloon bar, Cecil Beaton bar, Rotunda bar, two balcony bars, and three pantry areas. Brands on the scheme included C&C Catering Fabrications Ltd, Hobart and Gamko, working alongside Gardiner & Theobald and Keith Winton Design.

Due to the status of the venue as a Grade I listed building, some challenges arose concerning related constraints. C&C overcame these with careful communication and employing its previous experience of working at prestigious listed buildings. Additionally, the team also overcame challenges associated with working through two lockdowns in accordance with government guidelines through careful planning to ensure the programme continued moving forward.
