C&C Catering Equipment Ltd have recently teamed up with a local Beekeeping Company, Buckley’s Bees, to sponsor 3 beehives in an apiary in Hough, Crewe.
The C&C family business decided to sponsor another family business in their mission to not only make a positive environmental impact but also to enhance C&C’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Buckley’s Bees are making fantastic strides to save the native species of British bees, knowing first-hand the impact losing our bees would have on the environment.
CEO & Founder Emma Buckley recently showed off the new C&C Hives to Commercial Director Matthew Kitchin at her wedding in July.
“It’s amazing to see first-hand the work that Emma & her Dad, David, do for the future of British Bees.” Matthew commented. “The passion and dedication to their work is so inspiring and their efforts to support the declining native honeybee population is so admirable. I learnt so much about bees and just how much they contribute to our society when I went on a beekeeping experience day at their farm HQ. Not only does our sponsorship of the hives help us improve our CSR & help contribute to biodiversity and the environment, but we will also be bringing our team to Buckley’s Bees for an experience day so they can learn more too.”
“Getting support from local companies such as C&C is important to us not just as a business, but also to enable us to share our knowledge and educate more people about the benefits bees have to our environment and just how important they are to our daily lives.” Emma added “Not everybody realises that without bees, it would cost UK farmers £1.8bn per year to pollinate crops artificially and around 1/3 of our food depends on this. We appreciate Matt, Peter and all at C&C getting involved with supporting our work to save the British Bees.”
