The C&C Group acquired by Bunzl

Bunzl PLC has confirmed the acquisition of the C&C Group.

In a move that marks one of the most significant consolidation developments in the catering equipment market this year, the deal sees Bunzl gain control of C&C Catering Equipment Ltd and its subsidiaries C&C Catering Engineers Ltd and C&C Catering Fabrications Ltd.

The group operates sites in Chester & Liverpool and has customers all throughout the country.

The acquisition complements and strengthens Bunzl Catering and Hospitality Division’s market position and portfolio further.

C&C will report into Aggora within the Bunzl UK & Ireland structure.

C&C was founded by John & Enid Kitchin in 1981 and over the past 43 years has grown to become one of the largest commercial kitchen distributors in the UK.

It will be business as usual for C&C moving forward, with Peter Kitchin continuing to lead the business under the new ownership structure.
