Earlier this week, our team carried out a carefully coordinated equipment removal operation in central London, craning commercial refrigeration units out of a live construction site near Hyde Park.
The works were part of an ongoing project for Vascroft, the main contractor on site. C&C is supporting the redevelopment by managing the safe removal and storage of key kitchen equipment ahead of major internal building works.
As Project Director Keith Hartharn explained:
“The equipment was being removed from Levels 1 & 3. We’ve been craning the units out of the building to safely remove them without risking damage to the internal building, due to difficult access and finished areas.”
The lifted items included Weald wine refrigerators and Foster Refrigerators, which were removed with the help of JEP Industrial Removals. The units are now being securely stored off-site and will be returned once the new areas are ready to receive them.
Operations like this require detailed planning and execution to protect both the equipment and the building—especially when dealing with narrow access points and high-value finished areas. We’re proud to support another smooth and safe lift in a challenging central London location.
