Managing Director of C&C Catering Equipment Peter Kitchin recently donned his walking boots in the name of charity to climb Mount Snowdon, England and Wales’ highest point.

The climb to the summit was in aid of Peter’s local church, St Alban’s of Tattenhall, which requires an extension to accommodate a room for the elder members of the community to meet and for the younger members to attend Sunday School.

Peter managed to climb the mountain, alongside some other fundraisers, in a much quicker time than expected, and made it up to the summit in 2.5 hours. Once there, Peter took the opportunity to get some photos of his achievement, as well as visit the café at Hafod Eryri, which C&C are proud to be able to count amongst their projects.

Once the Managing Director had finished at the summit, it was time to walk back down the mountain, which took around 2 hours. The weather on the day was the best the locals had seen for some time, with the sun beaming down on the walkers all day.

With a target set of £5,000, Peter managed to smash this goal and fundraise £6,850 (and counting), with all contributions being matched by C&C. Peter commented, “I am absolutely thrilled with the total raised so far, and I am very grateful – the contributions are still coming in after the event which is amazing! Thank you to everyone who donated, it is very generous of you. All the money will make a great difference to the church project, and the community who will be using the building.”

Well done to Peter on his achievement, and thank you to all contributors for your generosity!
