Both the main kitchen area and basement prep kitchen were completed at the classic country house, with turn-key works taking place over a fast paced programme whilst the hotel was closed for a fixed four month period. The C&C Group provided the demolition, strip out, new fit of M&E, flooring, walls, ceiling, kitchen cooling system, energy efficient ventilation system and cold rooms, and bespoke fabrication.
The scheme, which began for C&C in January 2017 with design works and completed in May 2018, included brands such as Winterhalter, C&C Catering Fabrications, HMA, C&C Catering Engineers and Bertos cooking suite.
C&C Catering Equipment Ltd’s Senior Project Manager, Keith Hartharn, commented, “It has been great to work at this prestigious venue, and we’re delighted to add Gravetye Manor to our portfolio of exclusive hotels. There were some challenges on the project concerning the impressive building’s listed status and the fast pace of the programme, but we were able to overcome these with careful planning to create facilities we’re proud of.”
