This Remembrance Sunday, C&C’s Office Administrator Phil Morris was given the honour of laying the wreath at Aldford’s St John the Baptist’s Church, in memory of those who have served their country, just 2 miles from C&C’s offices in Saighton, Chester.
Phil’s grandfather, Thomas Green, is one of the few remaining servicemen from the village, having served in the Grenadier Guards as a Corporal working in various roles, including guarding Buckingham Palace. After serving from 1952-1954, he then moved back to Aldford in order to work for His Grace, The Duke of Westminster as Game Keeper followed by Head of Security.
Commenting on the service, Phil said “My brother and I are honoured to annually take part in the Remembrance service alongside our grandfather. We are just as proud as he is of his dedication to the country, and are pleased to remember those who have also served on this special day.”
