The Project, valued at approximately £250k, saw C&C work closely alongside foodservice consultants Tricon and builder Mace/Como.
Spanning over 3 floors, C&C installed a Servery counter on the 5th Floor, Pantry and Main Kitchen on the 6th Floor for Staff and Nationwide Clients and a 7th Floor Pantry for the Directors.
After a site inspection at the tender process, routes of access were evaluated to take into account difficulty of delivery. The access restrictions meant C&C had to install the coldroom plant on the roof of the building for the Foster coldroom located in the Basement.
Another issue with access occurred when the Proline Bespoke Counter to be located on the 5th Floor arrived at site. The individual sections were then carried up the stairwells and passenger lift when possible, with the main counter having to be carried up to the 5th floor by 6 men. The refrigeration components housed in the counter meant it couldn’t be taken apart and re-fitted on location.
