Peter Kitchin MD of Chester based C&C Catering Equipment Ltd, has been awarded the CEDABOND Bob McNab Charity Shield, for helping to raise £23,745 for Claire House children’s hospice during his time as chairman of the association.

C&C, CEDA and Peter have supported the children’s hospice for some years and had reached a total of £23,745 from various activities. Following the CEDA award, C&C donated a further £6,255 to the charity to bring the total they have raised together to £30,000.

Peter commented “Claire House is a great cause and a great hospice. Their expertise in looking after children and their families during difficult times is an inspiration and we will be continuing our support for them. Next year Steve Brophy, C&C’s Sales Manager, will be running the London marathon on their behalf and we hope to raise a further £5,000.”

Abi Smith, Cheshire Fundraising Manager at Claire House, said of the donation, “We are absolutely delighted with the support we have received from C&C, CEDA and Peter. It is wonderful that we have a partnership like this in the Cheshire Area as nearly 20% of our children who attend Claire House come from Cheshire and surrounding towns. We currently have only eight out of ten beds open at Claire House so we are looking forward to working together again over the next year to hopefully raise more valuable funds to increase this and maximise the service we can offer.”

C&C Catering Equipment also recently celebrated the winning of three highly prestigious catering industry awards for their work on the new Nomura bank building in the City of London. This was their largest ever project valued at £2.6m and was completed just ten months after their initial tender. Nomura’s management recognised C&C’s Project Manager Mark Roxburgh’s dedication and achievement in delivering the project successfully by awarding him a Shinkyo sumo for outstanding customer service.
