After being awarded the contract, C&C were required to install a Visitors’ Cafe & Restaurant Area in the entrance foyer to the brand new Pontefract Hospital working closely with FCSI Consultant Garry Nokes of GWP.

The Cafe provides guests with hot and cold food and beverages, all conveniently located right in the main entrance to the hospital.

C&C were requested to fit out a large Catering Area in the Hospital. Installation was completed to a high level of hygiene to comply with strict regulations necessary to the hospital. This included bespoke chrome piping to maintain the important levels of cleanliness. The scheme has been run by Project Manager Keith Hartharn with overview by Contracts Director Paul Parry.

Two Trolley Ward kitchens were also installed into Pontefract Hospital as well as Regeneration Kitchens with ‘State of The Art’ Socamel trolleys being supplied by C&C.

This scheme forms the first part of the PPHJV* Project. The larger scheme, Pinderfields Hospital, was completed in Early 2010.

The total project value is approximately £1.5 Million.
