With a new school constructed alongside the former building, a move over the summer holidays was essential to ensure minimal disruption to students and staff.
Whilst both existing and new equipment was transferred to the new dining hall facilities, the projected increasing student intake of the school was a high priority. This demanded extra space to be allowed in the design for the future drainage, power supplies, and additional space for alternative models that may be available when older existing kit requires replacement.
Careful coordination with Willmott Dixon and the M&E contractor was vital, for example in allowing successful repositioning of the vent canopy, which lead to C&C’s Project Manager Andy Pace handing over the tightly programmed scheme in time and on budget.
C&C’s Project coordinator Steve Brophy commented, “It was great to be part of a project at such a leading school. A great deal of planning was required, and we’re proud that the end result reflects the attention to details and coordination with all those involved.”
