Value: Small Project
End date: Winter 2019
C&C Catering Equipment Ltd is pleased to share one of its recently completed local schemes at Covino, Chester. The intimate restaurant and wine bar required catering facilities to provide its customers a variety of small plates, whilst maximising space as best as possible in the terraced premises, and all on a modest budget. Having undertaken other projects in the area, C&C were delighted to be involved with scheme in a bustling part of the city centre.
With a small space to work with, creating a professional commercial kitchen at Covino required a careful and considered approach, which included maximising worktop space to create a multi-functional counter design that would allow deli displays, playing and prep space. Fabrication was designed to make the absolute most out of the space, with tabling of various depths and angles created to work around a cookline wall which was intersected by an old fireplace.
In order to provide a clear proposition for the client, 3d design was utilised during early stages of the planning process, including a live design session with the client team to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction.
Due to the nature of the venue and its offerings, equipment was required to be portable to allow the client to attend various pop-up events. Brands on the project included C&C Catering Fabrications, Williams refrigeration, Smeg dishwasher and glass washer, Leightec ventilation, Lincat Silverlink, Blueseal Turbofan, Classeq ice machine, and IMC Bartender.
Project Manager Andy Pace commented, “It’s been great to work at another local project, and we’re really pleased with the end result at Covino. The client was delighted with the service we provided, from initial design reviews, to assisting with their planning application all the way through installation, and we’re pleased to have been a part of the scheme. Whilst an intimate space, the restaurant and wine bar is able to provide a high standard of offerings to its many clients, as it continues to be a sought-after dining location in the city.”
