Our sister company C&C Catering Engineers have once again been working hand in hand with renowned chef Nigel Haworth, this time to refurbish three of the Ribble Valley Inns; The Nag’s Head, The Highwayman and The Bull. The projects, completed by C&C Catering Engineers, follow on from last summer’s completion of Northcote’s kitchen by ourselves.

Both Northcote and the Ribble Valley Inns company are owned by Michelin starred chef Haworth and business partner Craig Bancroft. The company was founded in 2004 with the aim of offering seasonal food sourced from local suppliers in the relaxing atmosphere of pubs of charm and character around the stunning Ribble Valley. Five pubs were acquired along the way, all of them being located either in Haworth’s native Lancashire, North Yorkshire, Cheshire or Cumbria.

C&C Catering Engineers completed work on three of these establishments. Further to the refurbishment of The Bull in North Yorkshire, we installed complete catering facilities in The Highwayman, Cumbria and The Nag’s Head in Cheshire. The latter, established in 1629, is believed to be one of Britain’s oldest pubs.

Refurbishment at the three sites has been designed with chef Haworth to meet all of his expectations. New equipment comprises eco-friendly ventilation systems, refrigeration, warewashing and prepping and cooking facilities.

C&C Catering Engineers’ managing director Ian Berrow commented: “It’s always a pleasure working with Nigel and being able to make his ideas come to life has been very rewarding. Time constraints were a bit of a challenge but we are really pleased with what we achieved with Ribble Valley Inns.” and more importantly so is the client.
