C&C Catering Equipment have been presented with one of their biggest challenges in their 30 year history after being awarded the dining fit-out project for the world’s leading search engine’s new London HQ.

The design includes several special features such as ultra high-end service counter finishes and a totally unique “retro-look” cold storage area which will be on view to staff and visitors using the facilities. Rumours are also circulating that there will be “Star Wars” themed airlocks to gain access to the restaurant and a complete Apache helicopter as a meeting area.

The project valued at almost £1m includes new kitchens and service facilities across two different floors of the building as well as six “micro kitchens” on every floor for staff snacks and beverages and everything has to be ready for Christmas.

With only three months to complete a project which would normally take six, C&C have had to bring together several competitive suppliers as project partners in order to meet the extremely tight installation schedule.

Commenting on the contract, C&C’s Project Director Paul Parry said “We have several unique challenges on this installation, not the least of which is supplying so much equipment in a very short time period. It’s something of a speciality of ours so we’re delighted to have been awarded this landmark project”
